Promotion of EUC Koper Beach Volley 2019 at the FIBV World tour

Next year, the the European Universities Championship in Beach Volley will take place in the Slovenian city of Koper. The promotional and organizational activities of the event are already running and in a month they will reach the first climax at the FIBV World tour.

The Beach Volley became an organized sport in Slovenia after the proclamation of independence in 1991, and since then a number of important steps forward have been taken. One of the key moments for Slovenian Beach Volley happened last year.

Than, the new indoor playgrounds at the Ludus Park in Črnuče were put into use, and for the first time in Slovenia, Beach Volley practicing became possible for the whole year.

First of all, this means that from now on a much wider base of players can practice in winter time. The first concrete result of the extension of the exercise period was that the average level of the individual form increased rapidly.

At the same time, the best players no longer need to play 'regular volleyball', but they can practice more and better with their partners. It’s not a secret that the harmony between players is the basis of every serious intent to perform Beach Volley at a high level.

And theconsequence of a better practice was notable very soon - the international results of Slovenian players have improved rapidly.

Than this year, in Črnuče, a Recreational League in beach volleyball was also established. The latter started in October and will run until May 2019. Due to the large number of teams, they are grouped into 6 groups in men and 6 in women. They predict, however, that more teams will be in the future, thereby increasing the visibility of the league.

And why is the sport park Ludus in Črnuče (Ljubljana) important for the EUC Beach Volley Koper 2019? Because this summer the Slovenian capital hosted the FIBV World Tour tournament for the first time and at the end of November, Ludus sports park will again be the scene of the the winter edition of the FIBV World Tour tournament.

The organizers team of the EUC Beach Volley Koper 2019 will be present at the event, with the task to promote the forthcoming EUC at the highest global level.

Maybe some of the younger players at the FIBV World tour will suddenly remember that they are still students and in July 2019 the level of competition in Koper will be a little bit higher than previously expected, who knows?
